Grey Bruce Hospice is pleased to announce that it has received a generous $3,000 grant from Community Foundation Grey Bruce to enhance its Legacy Program. This funding has enabled Grey Bruce Hospice to purchase a high-quality camera and audio equipment, as well as an additional 30 hand mould kits to offer meaningful legacy activities to residents and their families during their time at Chapman House.

The Legacy Program provides families with special keepsakes, such as hand molds, audio recordings, written cards, and other personalized items, offering comfort and cherished memories during difficult moments. These legacy activities help residents and their families preserve precious memories, leaving a lasting impact that extends beyond end-of-life care.

“The Legacy Program is an important part of the compassionate services we offer at Grey Bruce Hospice,” said Donor Relations Coordinator, Amy McConachie. “Thanks to the support from Community Foundation Grey Bruce, we can now provide even more opportunities for residents and their loved ones to create lasting memories together.”

The grant will go toward expanding the available legacy activities, ensuring that families have access to these special services. These activities are designed to promote connection, comfort, and healing during one of life’s most challenging times.

Grey Bruce Hospice remains committed to providing compassionate, quality palliative care to all residents and their families. Grants like this ensure that programs such as the Legacy Program continue to enhance the care experience for families across the region.
