Grief & Bereavement Support
There are currently three grief and bereavement support programs which operate out of Chapman House.
Now it’s time for YOU!
Come share stories of your journey with your loved one while they lived and died at this “Home away from Home” over cups of coffee & refreshments
Twice monthly on Fridays from 2:00-3:30 pm we offer you a safe, confidential casual spot to talk with others whose loved one died at Chapman House.
You will be assisted by a Bereavement Facilitator and specially trained Bereavement Volunteer.
This program begins Friday October 5th, 2018. Check our EVENT CALENDAR for specific dates or call 519-370-7239 for more information.
All you have to do is show up. Talking is optional.
The Bereavement Cafe has been generously supported by Community Foundation Grey Bruce.
Bereavement Support Calls
Volunteers trained in grief and bereavement who are part of the bereavement support team, make confidential follow-up phone calls to the family members or signigicant others of those who died at Chapman House. With their consent, the volunteer support caller will be a compassionate, non-judgemental listening ear who can offer information and resources several times during the first year after their loved one’s death.
