Hike for Hospice

We were in a different location every Saturday in May! See below for ways you could support and more!

THANK YOU for supporting Grey Bruce Hospice in being able to provide excellent Palliative Care in Grey and Bruce!

Check Out Where We Visited!

May 4 - Hanover P&H Centre

On May 4, we kicked off our month with a full day of activities in Hanover at the P&H Centre at the Indoor Walking Track. We were there from 11:00am with opening ceremonies until 2:00pm at the inside track, with a Third Party Fundraiser taking place in the evening.

11:00am-12:30pm: Line Dancing in the P&H Lion’s Den

1:00pm-2:00pm: Dog walk at Hanover Race Track next door. Participants brought their BFFs (Best Furry Friends).

7:00pm-11:00pm: Juanita and the Big Deal – Third Party Fundraiser at Hanover Legion. 50% of proceeds were donated to Grey Bruce Hospice – Chapman House.

May 11 - Meaford Harbour Rotary Pavilion

We were joined at the Pavilion for a walk on the Georgian Trail followed by a scavenger hunt.

Didn’t feel like taking a walk? Many stayed behind to enjoy our BBQ, rock painting, and live music!

Meaford ShoeTree joined us with pop-up tents from Blundstone and Keen! Blundstone hosted an onsite boot toss, and Keen organized onsite games and demos.

This was a pet-friendly event. Participants brought their BFFs (Best Furry Friends).

May 18 - Southampton Long Dock Pavilion

Starting at the Long Dock Pavilion in Southampton, we walked down to the flagpole on High Street. Participants also had the chance to get their photo taken with Captain Jack, who was waiting at the flagpole for their arrival!

May 25 - Owen Sound Harrison Park

We met at Harrison Park Pavilion where a BBQ was offered, and celebrations included live music, Dawn Brennan Sutter School of Dance from Chatsworth, and live pipers. Participants walked the short and long loops at Harrison Park, allowing everyone to walk at their own pace.
