The Owen Sound Attack and Grey Bruce Hospice have partnered to dedicate the February 18, 2023, Charity Game as “Hockey for Hospice”, and are very proud to announce the game will be presented by Title Sponsor Gay Lea Foods Cooperative.

“A community is united in its ability to stand with one another in crisis and in celebration. Gay Lea Foods is a member of your community and is a proud sponsor and supporter of Grey Bruce Hospice to provide compassionate palliative care. Our community deserves and needs it”, shared Michael Barrett, CEO of Gay Lea Foods Cooperative.

“The Owen Sound Attack is very excited to partner with Grey Bruce Hospice for Hockey for Hospice” said Attack Manager of Marketing and Communications, Greg Hoddinott. “We have a unique opportunity to use our platform to help our fans learn more about how the Hospice not only helps patients with a comfortable place to finish living but supports the family and friends of their patients.” “This is something our late Business Manager, Ray McKelvie would be very proud of. He and his late Georgina were supporters of Chapman House since its inception and experienced the amazing services and compassion the Hospice can do firsthand” added Hoddinott.

Amy McConachie, Donor Relations Coordinator at Grey Bruce Hospice notes “We are very grateful to our generous Title Sponsor Gay Lea Foods, as well as to our Hockey for Hospice Jersey Sponsors the Grey-Bruce Dairy Producers, Media Sponsor Bayshore Broadcasting and the whole Owen Sound Attack organization for this opportunity. Come and join us for some fun to support your hospice on February 18. Go Attack Go!”

Fundraising activities at the game will include the Bucket Pass, Chuck-a-Puck, a Silent Auction, and the always popular post-game Jersey Auction. 100% of funds raised through charitable efforts leading up to and on game night are used to support Grey and Bruce residents needing palliative and end-of-life care at Chapman House. Grey Bruce Hospice relies on fundraising efforts by our community to cover over 50% of operational expenses every year.
