Hospice Hero: The Family of Bill Sponsors
January 10 in Memory of Bill Murdoch
Bill passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Born on January 10, 1945 in Meaford, Ontario, William Richard Murdoch of Bognor, was in his 78th year.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Sue Murdoch (née Walker) for 50 years. Loving father of Karen Murdoch and her husband, Dale Snyder, of London and Angola Murdoch and her husband, Eamon Mac Mahon, of Purple Valley. Bill was very proud of his granddaughter, Luella Mac Mahon. Dear brother of John Murdoch (Cathryn) and Elizabeth Harris (Gord), both of Bognor and brother-in-law of Alf Walker (Bea), of New Brunswick and Doug Walker (Jann), of Vancouver Island. Bill will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents, Dick and Betty Murdoch and his parents-in-law, Ab and Mae Walker.
“Losing your loved one is difficult at the best of times. Grey Bruce Hospice and Chapman House gave our family the freedom to just be there for Bill, without the burden of being caregivers. It allowed me to be his wife again. He was able to experience his final days with the love and respect of his family, his friends, and his community. Grey Bruce Hospice made that possible.”
