Hi everyone; Council members, Chapman House folks, Spiritual Care Providers, and Warren our Supervisor/Educator,
Well our search has come to an end! Special thanks to Mary Margaret, Dianne, and Alex and Betty from Chapman House for helping with all the interviews and discernment about the best candidate to serve both our purposes. We have found a wonderful, warm and enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about Spiritual Care, and who is excited about moving to the Owen Sound area.
As of April 1st, 2019, please join me in welcoming Maureen Pigeon (or Mo as she likes to be called) to the position of Spiritual Care Provider at both facilities. The first week will include orientations and we will have an opportunity to gather and welcome Mo to the team. I have BCC’d her on this email so as to not share her personal email without permission. Mo is a Spiritual Care Practitioner in membership with CASC (Canadian Association for Spiritual Care). She has a specialty in Palliative Care, End-of Life Bereavement support and experience in Crisis and Urgent Care as well as in Mental Health. She has a BA in Clinical Psychology and a MA in Theological Studies which includes Pastoral Counselling, Gerontology, Palliative and Bereavement Care, and Elder Spiritual Care. Mo comes highly recommended and I believe we will be well served.
I know you will all look forward to getting to know her once she is here, as will I. Please keep her in your prayers.
