Today, we at Grey Bruce Hospice honour and celebrate the rich history, vibrant cultures, and diverse contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. National Indigenous Peoples Day is a time to recognize the resilience, strength, and spirit of Indigenous communities. Let’s take this opportunity to educate ourselves, appreciate the unique traditions, and support Indigenous voices. It’s also a crucial time to emphasize the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful spaces for Indigenous peoples to access equitable palliative care. We are committed to this reconciliation work and our roles in the 94 Calls to Action, as expressed within our Strategic Plan 2024-27.

Join us in celebrating and supporting Indigenous communities!

About Grey Bruce Hospice

At Grey Bruce Hospice, we believe each day can be filled with precious moments. Our entire team is dedicated to helping make those moments possible for our residents and their families. Choosing hospice does not mean a person has given up. Hospice care isn’t about dying; it’s about living life to its fullest. Our mission is to provide comprehensive compassionate care to all in our community during their journey with a life-limiting illness. Our vision is community supporting community to live well with dying.
